There formed two separate ideologies of how bananas should
be picked up from banana trees among the monkeys. The two ideologies led the monkeys to split
into two separate colonies; colony A and colony B.
Colony A developed a system that if you pick your own bananas
you will get to keep all of them for yourself, even if you do not eat them.
Colony B developed a system that no matter of how many bananas you pick, you
have to share your bananas. Therefore, the two colonies started competing with
each other praising that their system was better than the other was for
survival.
Colony A monkeys started aggressively to pick up as many bananas
as they possibly could. In fact, they worked so hard that they started to
massively strip all banana tress of their bananas. The slow on start and less
agile monkeys got no bananas at all, so they starved. Only the fittest and
smartest monkeys got to keep their bananas, and off course the ones who stole. Eventually
all the monkeys realized that there wouldn’t be enough bananas left on the
trees if everyone massively accumulated bananas so they acknowledged that
sharing and rationing was the way to go in order to survive the shortage of bananas
on banana trees. Colony A shifted to colonies B plan and said that the sharing
plan was actually better.
Colony B had all right start with the picking up of bananas
until they realized that it was not worth to pick up extra bananas when a chief
of bananas came to round up bananas and shared the bananas with monkeys who did
not work so hard. Eventually the agile and hardworking monkeys stopped picking
up extra bananas. There came a famine shortage of bananas to go around. The chief
of sharing bananas started stealing bananas for himself and his close family
while other monkeys starved. Some monkeys seeing that the chief was stealing
the bananas for himself while starving other monkeys killed him for not being
fair. The monkeys that killed the chief said that monkeys in colony A were
right all along and decided to go with colony A plan of keeping your own bananas
to survive.
